This rear kitchen extension in Finsbury Park was designed to create a brighter, more open space that connects directly to the garden. The original layout was compact and disconnected. The new design opens up the ground floor and creates a more practical, easy-to-use space for everyday living.
Large sliding doors and a skylight bring in natural light throughout the day, while the new layout offers clear zones for cooking, dining and spending time together. The extension not only adds space but creates a better sense of flow across the ground floor.
We also added a utility room just off the kitchen—designed to be functional but discreet, helping keep the main space calm and organised.
This project is a good example of how a well-designed extension can improve how a home feels and functions—without overcomplicating the process.
This project was completed in 2024, and the approx. budget was £100K
